Sumo Wrestling

TOKYO — It was a sumo bout like any other: two wrestlers grappled at each other at the ring’s edge, before one sent his opponent tumbling to the dirt in a move known as the over-arm throw.

But a text message exchange between the two wrestlers the previous day suggests the match was rigged — one part of a raft of evidence examined by police that has pointed to widespread match-fixing in Japan’s time-honored sport, triggering a public outcry….

To get to the Olympic Games, the International Sumo Federation has thrown its weight behind a form of the game that would offend purists and surprise most everyone else: women’s sumo.

In the wake of earlier scandals, the ancient sport was sullied by a baseball betting ring, resulting in lifetime bans for two top figures.

Sumo’s governing body issued a lifetime ban on Keiji Tamiya for betting tens of thousands of dollars on professional baseball games, further tarnishing the ancient sport.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — If you see a 6-foot, 420-pound man wrestling an imaginary opponent at a gas station island, don’t be alarmed. It’s probably just Kelly Gneiting, a three-time U.S. sumo champion, getting in his workout.

Gneiting is a truck driver by profession and travels throughout the country, but he’s also a sumo wrestler who competes all over the world. In order to stay in shape he has to fit in at least four one-hour workouts a week….

The venerable sport of sumo wrestling – facing its worst scandal in decades – may make the unprecedented move of cancelling its next tournament because of humiliating allegations that dozens of wrestlers and coaches bet on baseball games.

WRESTLING / ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

The signs are encouraging

Y. B. Sarangi.

The Asian Championship gave indications of what to expect from the Indian wrestlers in the major upcoming meets. It served as a precursor to the Asian Games (in November) than the Commonwealth Games (in October) as the competition would be much tougher in the continental extravaganza, writes Y. B. Sarangi.

PTI A fine effort…India’s Sushil Kumar (centre) celebrates after winning the gold in the 66kg freestyle.

India’s steady progress in international wrestling has been encouraging. The nation’s showing in the Asian Championship in New Delhi recently was a proof of that. Despite fielding a weakened squad owing to injuries to several of its top wrestlers, the host returned one of its best performances in the elite event.

The overall tally of two gold, one silver and four bronze medals spoke a lot about India’s ability. Further, the fact that all seven Indian wrestlers in Greco-Roman finished inside the top five and the host ended up in the third spot underlined the country’s improvement in the style.

India took the fifth spot in freestyle and women’s competitions.

In freestyle, the unheralded Narsingh Yadav, who had replaced injured World Championship medal winner Ramesh Kumar, announced his arrival by claiming the first gold medal for the host.

– SANDEEP SAXENA Champion stuff. Narsingh Yadav (red) grapples with Saeed Riahi of Iran in the final of the 74kg freestyle. He won the bout for India’s first gold medal of the competition.

Ramesh was a bronze medallist in the previous edition of the championship, held in Pattaya (Thailand), and his absence was viewed as a big setback to India’s prospects. However, the chief coach, Jagminder Singh, was confident about Narsingh’s capability.

The young Mumbai wrestler, who had won the gold medal in the Commonwealth Championship in Jalandhar in December last year, banked on his grit to corner glory.

“This is the biggest achievement of my career so far. It has boosted my confidence,” Narsingh said.

For Olympic bronze medallist Sushil Kumar it was an occasion to prove a point. In Pattaya Sushil had been disqualified for being slightly overweight and was censured by the Union Sports Ministry for his negligence. But this time, Sushil’s performance was flawless. Exhibiting his swift movement, neat techniques and extraordinary counterattacks, the Delhi grappler bagged his first-ever Asian title.

– PTI India’s Alka Tomar (blue) in action against Kazakhstan’s Miruert Dynbayeva in the women’s 60kg freestyle. Alka won the bronze.

“I am very happy to have won this medal. Last time, I had overweighed by only 400gm and was pulled up for that,” said Sushil, heaving a sigh of relief.

World Championship medallist Alka Tomar had to blame herself as she committed a mistake to miss out on a berth in the final. However, she managed to retain her bronze medal which would inspire her to do better in the forthcoming major meets.

Among the Greco-Roman wrestlers, Ravinder Singh’s bronze was the most hard-earned one. He defeated a former World Cup medallist Mohammadreza Ghazei of Iran on way to the semifinals, but lost to Doha Asian Games gold winner Sheng Jiang of China before emerging successful in the repechage round.

Although the overall scene was encouraging, there were a few areas of concern. According to coach P. R. Sondhi, the women wrestlers need to train harder and compete in more events in order to be successful in bigger meets.

In Greco-Roman competitions, the home wrestlers belonging to heavier weight categories were not up to the mark. Their defence appeared fragile, admitted coach Hargobind Singh. “We have to work on some technical aspects and must improve a few things if we want better results,” he said. However, the Asian Championship gave indications of what to expect from the Indian wrestlers in the major upcoming meets. It served as a precursor to the Asian Games (in November) than the Commonwealth Games (in October) as the competition would be much tougher in the continental extravaganza.

One of the strongest nations in the sport, Iran had sent a mixed team and it maintained its stronghold in freestyle. South Korea dominated the Greco-Roman competitions, while China, in the absence of a full-fledged Japanese squad, claimed the majority of the top honours in the women’s section.

Other prominent countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia also showed that they would not be pushovers in the Asian Games in Guangzhou.

In the name of security

Chaos reigned at the Asian Championship which served as a ‘test’ event for the Commonwealth Games. Till the eve of the competition, the venue — the newly-built wrestling stadium at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex — was easily accessible. But the Delhi Police woke up the next day and made life miserable for everybody on the pretext of security.

The media, officials of the International Wrestling Federation (FILA), people assigned to various important duties, athletes and coaches faced problems in carrying out their jobs.

The poorly briefed police personnel had objections to almost everything. Initially, they had a problem with mediapersons carrying laptops and other essential equipment inside the stadium for the coverage of the event. Because of this, the Doordarshan officials could not telecast the wrestling bouts for a few hours on the opening day.

The journalists were not allowed to go to the ‘mixed zone’ to talk to the athletes and coaches. The photographers had to carry out their duty from the stands even though a platform had been erected for them to shoot pictures from a close range.

The President of FILA, Raphael Martinetti, had a taste of the ‘stringent’ security measures as he was reportedly prevented from reaching an exit gate despite having an ‘all area’ accreditation card.

The Wrestling Federation of India President G. S. Mander was angry and helpless as such mindless security measures only did a disservice to the sport.

Things improved in the last couple of days after a lot of effort by the people organising the show.

Such chaos has been commonplace in nearly all the ‘test’ events for the Commonwealth Games. It is clear that the agencies responsible for the smooth conduct of the competitions have not learnt anything from their mistakes. That paints a bleak picture of things to come during the Commonwealth Games.

Thousands gathered at Tokyo’s national sumo wrestling stadium on Wednesday. There were occasional cheers and applause. But the crowd’s attention was not focused on sumo wrestlers, but on much skinnier guys in suits.

It was Toshiba’s annual meeting with shareholders, and the men in the spotlight were the Japanese electronics conglomerate’s top executives.

In one of the rooms in the stadium’s basement, usually full of wrestlers getting ready for their matches during tournaments, journalists watched the televised meeting and took notes. The room still had a slight smell of sweat, perhaps from the last tournament in May.

The Kokugikan, or the national sumo stadium, hosts three major tournaments a year, in January, May and September. There are also some smaller sumo competitions, but the Japan Sumo Association rents out the space for all kinds of other events.

The stadium is a popular venue for boxing matches and concerts, said the association’s spokesman. It also hosts an annual street dance competition. Shareholder meetings are also fairly common.

As for Toshiba’s shareholder meeting, the closest it got to a wrestling match was when a few investors complained about the fact that the company did not pay any dividend in the just-ended fiscal year. During the question-and-answer session, one investor said, “Fellow shareholders, let’s join forces and make the company agree to pay at least 10 yen [11 cents] in dividends next year.” Chief Executive Norio Sasaki didn’t make any promises, but said the company is trying to improve parent earnings so it can resume paying dividends.

For the most part, shareholders were pretty gentle with management, all things considered. After all, Toshiba, whose businesses include memory chips, consumer electronics and nuclear plants, says it expects to post a net profit in the 12 months through March 2011 – but that would be its first profit in three fiscal years.

Some might have wondered where the iconic earth sumo ring, usually placed at the center of the stadium, had gone. “The ring descends into the floor and can be stored inside for other events,” the association spokesman said.

Maybe the association could use more revenue from other events right now. The recent scandal over illegal gambling by wrestlers has plunged Japan’s sumo world into turmoil, and there are even concerns that the next tournament in Nagoya might be canceled.

The fireworks show that almost didn’t happen will cap an 11-hour free celebration at Gas Works Park on the Fourth of July.

The rock group The Presidents of the United States of America and jazz vocalist Greta Matassa will perform in events at the park leading up to the 10 p.m. fireworks, according to details announced Monday by One Reel, which has produced a fireworks show at Lake Union for more than 20 years.

The “Family 4th at Lake Union” will include a bungee trampoline platform, an inflatable play center and interactive games. New events this year include rocking-chair races, a dunk tank, cake walks and sumo wrestling in inflatable costumes.

The fireworks show is continuing because some 300 businesses and individuals contributed to the $500,000 raised to host the event in the absence of a major title sponsor, said One Reel spokeswoman Mikhael Mei Williams.

As recently as late March, it looked as if Seattle might go without a major fireworks show for the first time in nine decades, not counting a hiatus during World War II. Washington Mutual, which had sponsored the Lake Union show since 2002, had collapsed, and its successor JPMorgan Chase agreed to fund the event, but just for one year, 2009.

Meanwhile, Ivar’s Seafood Restaurants had pulled the plug on Seattle’s other major fireworks show, which Ivar’s had sponsored for 44 years.

On March 31 this year, One Reel board President Tomoko Matsuno posted a letter to the community on the nonprofit’s website, announcing “with a heavy heart” that the Lake Union show was canceled for lack of a sponsor.

That’s when local chef Tom Douglas and KIRO-FM radio host Dave Ross jumped into the fray, igniting a community-based funding drive that, in 24 hours, tapped small and large contributors to keep Seattle skies glowing on the Fourth.

“April 2, 2010, will forever be known as the day the people of Seattle saved the Family 4th at Lake Union fireworks celebration,” says One Reel’s website. The largest contributors, Starbucks and Microsoft, each gave $125,000.

In recognition of the community support for this event, Pyro Spectaculars, which has engineered the Lake Union display for 13 years, says it will add “a significant amount” of fireworks to the show’s finale.

The display, running about 21 minutes, will reach heights of 1,000 feet, making it visible not only around Lake Union but as far away as West Seattle and beyond. The fireworks display will be shown on KING-TV, along with a musical soundtrack on KIRO-FM (97.3).

For the people who has read the first one I posted, this is a re-post; not a continuation. I am working on a continuation now as we speak. Only reason I re-posted is so it could get the justice it deserves. Enjoy new readers!

I lost the rest of the story when I restarted my computer. I know; how sad. I know some of you writers can feel my pain. I’ve also lost my future writings I was going to contribute to Fan-Fic. Enjoy everyone and people who has read before, there a a few little tweaks I made and more to the story.

The Amazing Spiderman:
The Chosen Wall Crawler

I say it should start with a message to the viewers; explaining that this is a reboot. The people who make these reboots don’t think about the little people who haven’t been following news and have no idea.

The movie starts with a scene of pure darkness with webs everywhere. A big, huge, muscular man (Played by Bruce Willis) walks through the webs while holding his Stomach. A lot of webs break and untangle when he walks through. Then he spots light and runs to the destination; still holding his sick stomach. He gets to the place that’s lit with light and he falls to the ground sits on the back of his legs. He looks up and see’s a floating old woman.
He yells, “Please Madame Web. I need your help. I should have listened in the beginning about the Totem Spiders.” The blindfolded old woman stays silent and doesn’t move, not once. It looks as if she could be dead floating. “Please. I know there could be a way. Maybe incinerate these powers that”-

All of a sudden a voice comes from every direction but it is really the voice of Madame Web (Played by Maggie Smith) that distracts him. “I am sorry Ezekiel but there is no way to help you. Like all the past Wall Crawlers, you will surely die of your illness. You have not listened to the legend of these Totem Spiders. They are only meant for the Chosen Wall Crawler.”
“Okay, I understand. But I haven’t done anything with these powers that will kill me. I never helped one single person. All the past Wall Crawlers have helped people before their death. I have only helped myself and that is going to change.”

The woman stares silent and motionless again.
Then Ezekiel speaks again. He says, “I will make something that will stop these Totem Spiders from birthing powers to any but the Chosen.”
“You are on to something Ezekiel but you desperately need to hurry because your death is soon to come. I will help you and millions will be saved from the thirst of power.”

The scene turns black again and shows quick scenes of the past Wall Crawlers. First scene is of an Indian boy that gets a spider and is bitten. The Indian boy makes a costume that is kind of similar to Spiderman’s but looks more Indian with no lines and without the mask. The second scene shows a bad little boy hitting on a totem pole and then being covered in spiders.
The boy comes out deformed with four extra arms, the eyes of a fly; skin is dark purple, etc. He destroys the whole village. The third scene is of a huge fat man wrestling. And I mean this guy is huge like a sumo wrestler. He gets bit by a Spider and he beats the crap out of the other muscular man.
The fourth is of a girl running on her webs over buildings. She wears goggles and pads on her arms and legs.

The fifth was of a pig that is bitten by a Spider. People look up in the sky and see a pig swinging from its snout and they scream, “Its Spider-Ham.”
The scenes fast forwards and only show different people being bit by the spiders. When the scenes are over with, they show Ezekiel putting a Spider in the Totem Pole. He says, “Here you go little spider. When you die, your offspring’s will inherit your locked power and be responsible for birthing powers to The Chosen.”
The scene says, “three thousand years later.” People are walking around New York minding their own business. They then hear a rumbling and the ground starts shaking. Screams get louder and louder and then a huge figure bust through a mall. It happened to be the Rhino (voiced by???). People start running and screaming for help. You can see someone wrapped around his huge, bulked neck. Then you notice that those arms belong to Spiderman’s.
Spiderman looks over Rhino’s shoulder and says, “Wow buddy. Did you just notice that you destroyed that mall or you thought went through a field of flowers?”
Spiderman tries to disguise his voice and says, “Clean up on isle 4.” People start dying because they get trampled under Rhino’s gigantic feet. People that are getting hit by Rhino fly everywhere. Spiderman sticks on Rhino’s huge back and webs a place for the flying people to land comfortably.
Spiderman says, “How can I stop this wannabe hulk?” Rhino tries to grab Spiderman whiling turning on a corner and when Spidy jumps out the way, Rhino slips and crashes into a building.” The building crumbles on him and Spiderman goes to the crushed building and says, “You clumsy sorry excuse for a Rhino. You nearly killed both of us.” Rhino bust out the ruble and screams that he hates Spiderman and will squash him like the bug he is.
Spiderman says, “Yea, yea, yea; like I haven’t heard those words before. I get those little cute Christmas cards from Green Goblin every year. Bless his heart. To bad he had to go to prison.”
He runs toward Spiderman and Spidy jumps out the way. Another building crashes on him. Rhino gets up and is kind of dizzy. Spiderman webs his chest and swings toward him. He lands a couple of punches on him and Rhino is knocked out cold. Rhino wakes upside down with Spiderman in his face. He makes a scared sound and Spiderman laughs at him.
Then a truck that says, “S.H.I.E.L.D.” on it pulls up and a whole lot of agents surround Spiderman. Then lastly a Black man with an eye path (Played by Samuel Jackson) makes an appearance. He goes to Spiderman and says, “Nice to meet you again Pe”-
“Its Spiderman,” says an annoyed Spidy.
“I’m sorry. We haven’t seen each other since you defeated Doctor Octopus and I put him behind our bars.” The scene shows quick images of Spiderman defeating Doctor Octopus (Played by Philip Seymour Hoffman) and an image of him sitting in S.H.I.E.L.D. Prison.
“Yea; what’s sup? Or how is it you speak patchy? Oh yea, I remember; Argh.” There is a little giggle from the surrounding agents. When Nick Fury looks at them with a serious face they stop instantly. Nick turns back to Spiderman and notices he’s gone. Spiderman is swinging on buildings all kinds of ways. He seems more agile than the old movies made him.
Then words come up to say the title of the movie and this is where the Spectacular Spiderman song comes in. They show one minute and one seconds of his life while the song happens. At the last minute when the song is over, Spiderman dodges a bullet and notices the bullet hit Uncle Ben. Then the scene gets interrupted by a phone ringing. Still swinging, Spiderman takes out the cell phone and says, “Hi Gwen baby. I’m so sorry for not making it to school-
You can kind of hear her voice and he says, “It was that stupid clock you gave me for Christmas. I told you not to trust those people on the street stands. I can’t believe you gave me that cheap thing when I gave you such a wonderful gift.”
You can hear her kind of and he says, “Yea, those shoes from Family Dollar. They were on sale too.” You can hear her laugh through the phone and Spiderman runs on the side of a building and jumps off, flinging him on top of a building. He says, “I bet I can make it before you.”
She says something and he says, “Okay bet. You go lose sucker.” After he hears her speak, he says, “Love you too baby.” He hangs up and swings faster. The way he swings is serious. He almost touches the ground and swings more up. He is also much more flexible then the old movies mad him. He lands in an alley and the scene shows a bus stopping.
Gwen Stacy (Played by Meaghan Jette Martin) steps off the bus and someone follows after her. The girl following after happens to be Mary Jane Watson (Played by Molly C. Quinn). Mary Jane wave’s goodbye to a wimp looking kid, that gets off the bus, and she says, “Bye Max Dillon.” Peter comes from the alley and quickly walks up to them with his head down. Gwen punches Peter and says, “I can’t believe you left me and Mary Jane with that project. Connors was all over us and barley made a C in that lab.”
When Peter looks over to Mary Jane, she puts her head down a little and makes the cutest little giggle. When M.J eyes go up to meet Peter’s, Gwen pulls Peter’s arm. M.J then says, “Well I have to go. I’ll call you tonight Gwen. Goodbye Peter and try to make class tomorrow.”
Gwen and Peter both say bye but Peter waves when he says it. M.J waves back as she walks away. Gwen says, “Does Peter Parker still have that kindergarten crush on Mary Jane Watson?”
“I do not,” says Peter angrily. Before he can get a word out, a cop car pulls in the driveway and Gwen goes to run over there. Captain George Stacy (Played by Tobin Bell) comes out the car to hug his daughter. He walks over to Peter who shakes his hands. Captain Stacy says, “I’m still sorry for your loss last year. If only we caught both Spiderman and that damn thief-
“I know. It wasn’t your fault. Spiderman was just careless that day. I’m sure he didn’t mean to.”
The scene shows a flashback of someone shooting at Spiderman. Since this was his first days as Spiderman, he wanted to show off with his spider moves. He dodges the bullets and instead of just catching him, he shows off in front of the people. He does the matrix to the fourth bullet. When he dodges his shoulder out the way, he hears an old man voice in pain.
Spiderman turns around and sees that his Uncle Ben (Played by Robert Redford) has been shot with that bullet. Spiderman just stands there not knowing whether to chase after the crook or stay with Uncle Ben.
The flashback ends when Gwen tells Peter to come in the house.
Captain Stacy says, “You two bet not have too much fun because the boys in the cells love having fun with people like you, Peter.”
Peter looks back and responds by saying, “Yes Sir. I understand.”
The scene switches to a man with white crazy hair (Played by Christopher Walken) working in his lab. There is machinery everywhere and half robots in the background. A bald man (Played by Ben Kingsly) walks up to him and pushes everything off his working table. He yells at the crazy haired man.
He says, “Phineas, you have failed the Kingpin again. That Rhino suit was supposed to be undefeatable. You’re wasting his money on your little toys-
“Leave me alone Toomes. I did everything I could and the suit is undefeatable. It’s not my fault the person wearing it is a complete buffoon. It looks like he can’t pay for the best of goons.”
“You never speak of him like that. He’s the reason you’re not doing techno magic tricks on the street and getting paid only five dollar’s an hour. You wouldn’t be in need for his help if Norman didn’t get caught as the Green Gob-
“NORMAN OSBORN WAS NEVER THE GREEN GOBLIN,” yells Phineas Mason. He goes on and says, “His son, Harry Osborn was the Green Goblin. He didn’t want his son to live that kind of life so he took the blame. He has people believing that Harry has been devastated that his father is the goblin and went nuts. But really, it was the serum that made his mind like that. Norman is finding the best people to help the boy.”
Adrian Toomes speaks and says, “Enough of this talk. Kingpin wants you to start with the mind control suit.” They look back at this man chained up. The man wakes up and screams, “Where am I?” The two men laugh at him and the camera closes in on the chained man’s face (Timothy Olyphant). The scene changes but with the same face on a newspaper. The reading says that an Agent by the name of Mac Gargan is missing. J. Jonah Jameson (Played by the perfect J.K Simons) slams the newspaper and demands to know the whereabouts of Peter Parker.
I’m sorry people but I couldn’t replace the real J. Jonah Jameson. I’m going to stick with him and pray they understand he can’t be replaced. So go ahead and say, “It’s the reboot. They will not cast him back, Blah, blah, blah. I’ve heard that more than girls use the line, “It’s not you; it’s me.” Let’s get back to the story now.
Betty Brant (Played by Zooey Deschanel) comes to the scene and says, “Remember Peter gave you that picture of Spiderman that gave you the best selling Newspaper in the city and you said that he can have a break for the week?”
“NO BREAKS!!! No matter how hard anyone of you works. I needed pictures of Spiderman and that Rhino guy. Get that Parker on the phone and tell him to pray that he has those pictures.”
“On it boss,” says Betty Brant looking through her cell phone.
The scene changes to Peter and Gwen making out on the bed next to a lot of textbooks.
His phone rings the tune of a normal tune and he ignores the call and continues to his kissing.
When the ringing from the phone turns off, Peter’s Spider-Sense activates. You can see the little marks above his head. He hurries to push Gwen off him and picks one of the text books leaving Gwen to look confused. Then Captain George Stacy bust through the door to tell Gwen something. Before he can get it out his mouth, his attention turns to Peter.
He says, “Um, Peter; why do you have my daughter’s lipstick on?”
Peter makes the Michael Jackson sound he mostly uses in his songs. This makes George Stacy chuckle only a little bit and he turns to Gwen. She starts to explain like a child about to get beat.
“Daddy, I dared Peter to put on the lipstick and I tried to get it off him but you know how goofy he gets.” She makes the little innocent face and Peter sits the there nodding his head like a Bobble Head.
George Stacy then says, “Well Gwen, I wouldn’t leave if it wasn’t an emergency. You know that-
“Yea, yea, yea,” says an annoyed Gwen.
Before George leaves, someone tries to reach him through his walky-talky. The static voice yells, “Captain, we need your help. It’s Cletus Kasady; we’ve found him and he’s not going without a fight. OH MY GOD!!! MAT?!! Please don’t be dead.” There are gun shots and people screaming.
The cop continues to talk but you cannot hear him clearly because George is in the car. Gwen looks over to Peter and notices he is gone. The scene switches to Spiderman in an Alley quickly taking off his clothes. You can see he wears the Spiderman suit under his clothes and the mask slightly in his pants. When he takes his shirt off, he grabs the gloves from his back pockets and puts them on before he puts on the mask.
His takes off his pants revealing his below side of the Spiderman suit and jumps into action. He climbs on a building and super jumps to the top.
“Now where can I find this guy? Oh, duh; follow the cop cars.”
He jumps off the building and follows the cops. His phone suddenly rings and he looks at it.
“Oh crap, it’s Betty. J.J must have forgotten about the brake he gave me again.” He answers the phone and says, “Let me guess? He forgot about the brake he gave me and he wants pictures of the fight Spiderman had with Rhino.”
You can hear Betty say, “Bingo” and Jameson going off in the background.
“I’m on my way with some pictures.”
Spiderman says goodbye and hangs up when he stops at the destination where the cops have stopped. A man on a roof has a cop as a hostage and is shooting cops that come from the door. Spiderman jumps over to him and kicks him separate from the hostage.
Spiderman says, “You’re Cletus Kasady. The guy the cops have the most problem catching. You’ve been all over the news buddy. You killed so much people even your family members. They’re only like three left and they are hiding out. People like you make me sick.”
Cletus Kasady (Played by Jackie Earle Haley) takes out his gun and shoots at Spiderman. He dodges the bullet and goes straight for him. It seems Spiderman has much matured since his Uncle died from his careless actions. As he goes in for the hit, you can see a dark figure’s feet running to Spiderman.
All you can see is his feet. He seems more faster than Spidy. Before Spiderman can hit Cletus, the unidentified dark figure bomb rushes Spiderman and grabs him by the neck. Spiderman grabs his buff arms and makes a suffocating sound. Cletus gathers his knifes and guns and leaves through the door. Spidy manages to break free of the hold and webs his face. The costumed buff guy removes the webs and smacks Spiderman off the building.
Spiderman falls and is almost knocked out before he hits the railroad tracks. He picks up his arm to string a web but the hit makes him too weak to pick up his arm.
Before he can hit the tracks, a train hits him and he falls on top of a car. Back on the rooftop, the costumed buff guy gets his walky-talky. He suddenly talks and his deep voice is scary. He says, “Mr. Rose, this is Tarantula #2 speaking. The Spiderman is lost. Got to carried away but I know he’s not dead; over.”
A voice comes out the walky-talky and says, “Come back Tarantula #2. You can finish your mission next time. Tonight Tarantula #4 is going out on his mission, over.”
When Tarantula #2 jumps off the building the scene shifts to Spiderman unconscious on top of a car.
Spiderman wakes up in the dark place filled with webs where Ezekiel once was. He gets up like he never was hit and looks around.
He says, “I must be back in Otto’s basement. Looks like the wife still haven’t cleaned the place.”
A voice comes from every direction and says, “The Chosen Wall Crawler.” Spiderman looks up to see Madame Web.
He says, “Um, excuse me?”
“You have been searching why you have these powers. To see if it was as a freak accident or you were meant for them.”
“Oh My God; you must be my Dream Girl. I can’t believe I found you. Now come down here and give me some sugar.”
“SILENCE,” says an angered Madame Web, “I am here to tell the origins of your powers. You will not know unless I tell you.”
“I have been seeking answers. Why me? Tell me everything about these powers.”
“In the beginning there was something that the Gods made called Totem Spiders. They knew the humans thirst for power and made a prank for them. But they knew someone had to use these powers in the future to help people. So they chose a line of pure people and tampered with their blood so only you wouldn’t get infected with the poison.”
Spiderman stands quiet and serious like you haven’t seen you him before.
She goes on and says, “A lot of people died from the poison but a man faced with death named Ezekiel stopped the infection. People still died but not as much because they didn’t birth powers. Humans stopped searching for the powers and as time went on, they forgot about the Totem Spiders.”
“So you’re saying I’m a mutant?”
“Not necessarily. You were meant for the powers but never born with the powers.”
“If you know all about me then you must know my secret identity.”
“Yes Peter Parker. And I must tell you that in the future when everything goes bad, you will reveal your secret identity to the public purposely. You must not do this even if you feel the need to and if it feels right. I am warning you that it will bring bad events and make the war…”
“War; what war?”
“Sorry, I am telling too much of the future as it is Peter. Goodbye and we will meet again.”
Spiderman wakes up on the beeping car he fell on with a guy saying, “Dude, you just trashed my car.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. I just got hit by a linebacker.”
“My beautiful Lexus is destroyed man. Dude, we totally have to exchange insurance numbers.” Spiderman gets up and his back cracks. It looks as if he has taken too much pain but with Madame Web, there was no pain. He swings away in a painful way and almost swings into a truck.
He gets to his aunts house in Queens and opens the Basement door from the outside. He limps to his bed and takes off his mask. He then says, “I know you are there Fury.”
The light turns on and Nick says, “How you know it was me?”
“Spider-Sense duh; and I think I would know if someone was in my own home.”
“You have a point there buddy. Well Norman wants to speak with you.”
“Norman? Norman Osborn? You mean The Green Goblin?”
“Yes. He claims he needs your help to help Harry.”
“Well I will do it if it can help Harry. He probably feels guilty about making his son feel that way to a point in insanity. It’s his fault Harry caught him as the Green Goblin.”
“Ok, they will let you in S.H.I.E.L.D. Prison on Sunday.”
“But Nick Fury, that’s church day.”
Nick Fury leaves and Pater, looking better, changes his clothes. When changing his clothes, he remembers he never came to J. Jonah Jameson with some pictures.
“Oh Crap. Jameson is going to fire me. He’s going to have the whole barn tomorrow.”
Peter hangs up back up the suit because he hears foot steps. Aunt May (Played by Helen Mirren) comes in the room.
“Peter,” says Aunt May while she coughs, “where have you been sweet heart?”
“I’m sorry Aunt May but there was a block off at the area I take to get here. The cops were trying to catch Cletus Cassidy again-
Aunt May coughs get so loud that they interrupt Peter. He runs to her and says that she needs some sleep.
“Maybe you are right darling. Oh and that stupid science project keeps beeping.”
“Oh I’m sorry Aunt May. I will fix it tonight.”
Peter wakes in the middle of the night from the sound of Aunt May yelling. He jumps out the bed and leaves the room.
“Well I never,” says Aunt May on the phone. “LIKE I SAID BEFORE MR. JAMESON, DO NOT CALL AT THIS TIME OF NIGHT FOR PETER. He is just a boy and I will not stand here and let you stress this brilliant young man. Do you understand me?”
You can hear J.J on the phone and she says, “If you fire Peter, there are millions of other companies that will take him. He is one of the reasons that sleazy rag is being successful.” Peter gets closer behind his aunt and there is a big silence.
“Yes your apology is forgiven. You really need to say that to Peter but he is sleep right now. Say it to him when he comes to work in the morning. Goodnight Mr. Jameson.”
You can hear him quickly say, “Goodnight bye,” and hangs up. Aunt may turn around and is shocked to see Peter there. There is a little awkwardness and Aunt May goes to her room. The scene changes to someone sticking on the side on the building.
The unknown figure says, “Tarantula #4 on duty, over.”
Mr. Rose voice comes out the walky-talky and says, “Remember your target is Max Dillon; son of Brian Dillon, over.”
“Yes sir, I remember the target, over.”
Max comes from outside the party crying and Tarantula #4 jumps behind him. The ground shakes and Max looks behind him. Tarantula #4 is different from Tarantula #2. #4’s jacket is red and the other is black. Max runs for his life and Tarantula #4 makes a small leap over him.

Before Tarantula #4 lands, max turns and goes up a ladder on the side of a wall. The rain cause Max a slippery chance of falling but he doesn’t. Tarantula #4 goes to the building and walks up the building with the little blades in his gloves. He speeds up but Max is still in the lead. Max makes a yell that activates Peter’s Spider Sense. Peter quickly gets in costume and swings fast.
Tarantula #4 grabs onto the back of his shirt and throws him to the other building, through the window. Spiderman is swinging on the bridge fast and the movie shifts back to Max Dillon and Tarantula #4. Max runs through the empty room and closes the door behind him as Tarantula #4 comes through the broken window. Max runs again and Tarantula #4 bust through the door and runs past a girl screaming.
Tarantula #4 takes out his knife and throws it right in Max’s back. Max falls to the ground and whispers, “Why?”
Tarantula #4 laughs and says to ask his father when they both die. Max takes out a pocket knife and stabs him with it. He then opens the door and runs down the steps.
“Little Bastard,” says Tarantula #4 while he takes the knife out of his neck quickly. He walks down the stairs while Max runs down them. When Max makes it to the bottom floor, Tarantula #4 jumps over the rail and lands on the bottom floor. There are lots of electrical generators down there and max hides behind a wall.
Spiderman bust in the party Max came from and runs through the crowd. Everyone says, “Spiderman?” as he runs through. Mary Jane follows him.
Tarantula #4 says, “You know you will die tonight Max. There is a way to kill what I can’t see.” He takes out four knives and throws them at the main generator; making the others act up. There is suddenly a scream at the same time of a massive electric sound. Spiderman bust in to see electric carrying Max in the air.
Before Tarantula #4 throws a knife at Max, Spiderman webs the knife and swings it towards his leg. It hits his leg and Spiderman goes in for the fight. He dodges Spiderman’s hits except the fifth one but dodges the remaining three. Tarantula #4 then takes his turn to throw punches which Spiderman is only able to dodge a couple.
Spiderman webs his waist and swings around easily and kicks him in the chest with both feet. He falls into a generator where he is electrocuted to death. The Rose is on the walky-talky saying, “Tarantula #4, what is your status?” The walky-talky gets electrocuted and burst to flames.
“Help me Spiderman,” says Max Dillon, before he falls to the ground, with the sound of electric in his vocals. Spiderman tries and picks him up but it shocks with a charge of electricity. Spiderman webs his whole body, except for his head, and lays him on a platform.
Mary Jane comes out from peeking around the corner and says, “Um, Mr. Spiderman? Is Max going to be ok?”
“Well I don’t know for sure,” says Spiderman turning around quickly.
A man bust through the doors to view the scene and both Spiderman and Mary Jane look back.
“Oh my Gosh, Eddie Brock,” says Mary Jane happily, “Where have you been?” They both hug and Spiderman stands in restraint. It looks as if he wants to run over there but he remember that he’s not suppose to be Peter now.
“Hi M.J, I seen you run after this lunatic and I wanted to make sure of your safety for Pete’s sake.”

“Oh, I’m okay. Spiderman tried saving Max’s life but was too late.”
“Don’t give me that Mary. He killed Max and-
“What? No, I did not,” says Spiderman stepping up.
Eddie says, “I seen Max running crying and heard ruckus upstairs. Then you come and are spotted over his body. I called the cops and they are on their way.”
“But it was that guy,” as Spidy blindly points to a destroyed generator with no one there. Spidy looks to see and notices that Tarantula #4 is missing and says, “Oops Wrong generator, ha.” He points to the actual generator. Cops sirens are heard and Spiderman leaves the angered faced Eddie. Mary Jane pulls from him and follows Spiderman again. On the roof top, M.J yells his name and Spiderman stops on the cliff.
“I just wanted to know if you can swing me home,” says M.J in a sweet voice.
“Oh; um… of course.” Mary Jane gets on his back and he swings off. He swings slowly and see closes her eyes tightly. “So what do you want to talk about?” Says Spiderman being nervous because he hasn’t done this before and he hasn’t forgotten the kiss they shared.
“Our Kiss,” says Mary Jane looking cute, drenched from the rain.
“Have you come to take it back because guess what honey; I don’t give refunds.” Mary Jane laughs so hard and the scene shows a Flashback. Spiderman is on a web upside down and Mary Jane goes toward him.
“I can’t find my mask,” says Spiderman starring at her in the darkness.
“I have it,” says M.J taking out his mask. “You lost it when that crook took it off you and you uppercut him. I was hiding and thanks for saving my life.”
“Well I’m your friendly Neighborhood Spiderman.”
She goes close to him in the darkness and without looking, plants a kiss on his lips. Spiderman kisses back and she gives back his mask. When he puts it on, she opens her eyes and smiles. She tries to follow him but she ends up slipping over the unconscious crook.
The Flashback is over and while swinging, Spiderman and Mary Jane’s face connect. Their foreheads touch and Spiderman takes off his mask halfway. They share a passionate kiss after Spiderman looks were he’s going. Whiling still kissing, Spidy lands on top of a building where they continue kissing.
Mary Jane gets a call on her cell phone and it happens to be her mother. Mary Jane says, “Yes something bad happened at the party. I was on my way-
Her mom cuts her off and M.J says, “Yes, I’m on my way.” When she hangs up she apologizes and tells Spiderman that she needs to go home.
She gets on his back and he swings away again. The scene switches to morning where Peter is working on something. “I’m done,” he says as he holds up a red circular object. He lays it down and works on his Chalk Board.
“I’m going to try it on a normal criminal to see if it’s a success.” The scene switches to Spiderman swinging around the city. “Criminals always want to appear when I’m always busy or not expecting. They never want to come when I’m looking for them.”
Suddenly there’s a scream from an elderly lady and Spiderman sighs a little, saying, “Same old, same old crime all the time. Hey I made a rhyme.” Down on a street, a lady and a beguiler are pulling on a shiny pink diamond purse. He ends up snatching the purse and Spiderman comes to pat him on the back. The crook looks back in a confused way and keeps on running.
“Nothing like today’s dumb heroes; I mean criminals.”
“You’re just going to let him take my purse,” says the angered old woman.
“Maybe I am, maybe not. Sykes, like I’m really going to let that happen.” Spiderman activates his spider sense and see the crook’s red outline through the buildings. Then the sense gets messed up when the old lady hits Spiderman with her other purse.
“Ouch lady, how many purses do you have?”
The old lady constantly hits Spiderman with her purse until he swings away. He activates his Spider sense again and swings toward the thief. Spiderman stands on top of a building and webs the man’s butt and pulls him on top of the building. Back at the street, the old woman is talking to an officer. They suddenly hear a sound of webs and they look behind them at a street light.
There is the thief and her purse webbed on the pole. Scene switches to Peter Parker at the Daily Planet fixing his newly changed shirt. When he gets in the huge room, there is a sudden silence with every worker and reporter looking at him. Even the window washer is staring at him. You suddenly hear high heels running over to Peter. It’s Betty Brant and when she makes it to him, starring at everyone that’s starring at Peter; she says that Mr. Jameson would like to talk to him silently with no one walking in.
Peter says alright and as he walks, people’s eyes follow him. He walks in the room with Jameson reading a Newspaper saying, “Avengers defeated Hulk threat. Plans to send exile the unstoppable beast.” As Peter shuts the door, Jameson quickly puts down the paper.
“Sit,” says Jameson nicely. Peter sits and Jameson begins to talk but he cuts him off.
“Look, I’m sorry for last night,” says Peter.
Jameson looks like he is trying to calm down and as he tries to restrain himself, he says, “Do not ever cut me off son. Understand?”
“Understood,” says Peter. As he begins to talk, the camera focuses on what’s around Peter. On the walls is the most famous Newspaper the Daily Bugle contributed. It goes around the whole room once. The first is on Spiderman defeating the Green Goblin; the second one
is of Spidy eating cookies with the president; the third is of Spiderman
defeating Doctor Octopus; the fourth is of Spiderman stopping a crook known as
the Boomerang; the fifth is of Spiderman defeating a snake looking villain
known as the Basilisk; the sixth is of Spiderman holding his ears while The Ringer is
standing over him; the last is of Spiderman caught in a mini tornado caused by Speed Demon.

Jameson says, “Look, I’m sorry for how I’ve been treating you lately.” He restrains himself as he says, “You are a bright and intelligent young b… man.”
“Thanks Mr. Jameson,” says Peter.”
“Now get back to work before I take it back!”
“Yes sir,” says peter with a little giggle. He leaves out Jonah’s room and Betty runs after Peter.
She says, “J.J told me to tell you to go to the hospital and take pictures of his son. Here’s the room number he is in.” Betty Brant gives him a card with the information.
The scene switches to Peter at the hospital. Peter walks in the hospital and there is no one at the front desk. He just goes to the room and takes three photos of the astronaut sleeping. The movie shifts to the inside of his head. In his head, he is back the moon. He jumps into a passage space that has stairs and gets closer to an old alter.
After the third, his Spidy sense goes off and he hears sliding coming from the hallway. As he turns around slowly, something in white floats pass the door while dragging someone. Peter walks to the doorway and looks out. He sees a guy in a hospital robe and dragging a nurse that looks to be dead. Peter runs after him and grabs jumps on him. As soon s Peter jumps on him, he gets shocked off and the guy throws the dead nurse with serious burns on her neck. Peter gets up to notice the guy turning around.
“Max Dillon?” Peter says staring at his face.
Max stares at him with those blue eyes and says, “Die Peter!” He throws an electric bolt and peter dodges it. Peter webs him from the ceiling and Electro falls to the ground from floating.
“The electric energy can’t escape the webs so he can’t use his powers,” says Peter in his head. “The energy is not able to travel anywhere.” Max bust through his webs by gathering up electrical energy and extracting it from his body. A huge yellow blast comes from his body and explodes the surroundings. The blast causes fire and causes Spiderman flying through a wall. Peter ends up in J. Jonah’s son’s room. Max enters and the camera zooms in on the face of Jonah’s son.
The movie shifts back into his head. He goes to the Alter and suddenly notices a glass that holds a jewel. He removes the glass and grabs the purple jewel. He stares at it and suddenly tentacles release from the jewel and goes straight through his suit. Constantly tentacles come out the jewel and attack him inside his space suit.
When the attacking and yelling is over, he’s on the ground with the radio constantly calling for his name. Then the body starts shaking and you can hear clothing rip. There is a complete silence and suddenly he jumps up and is transformed to a wolf type human. When he howls, the movie shifts back to Max Dillon and Peter Parker. Max powers up and accidentally shocks Jameson’s son. He awakens with bloody eyes and jumps out the bed, being webbed in the face by Peter.
